I thank you for taking the time to restate my original question with greater clarity while providing an answer many would agree to. You're not wrong for suggesting a compromise that would ideally let both meta chasers have their fun whilst having sub events that could give focus on less highlighted features of the game. That agreed, I believe this personally an unnecessary compromise. The root problem of meta is being that it alters the state of play by bending the core rules to the point of making the original idea morph into a completely different game. The average player will be disappointed when realizing that what is being explained in tutorials or rule books are actually poor advice and sets them up for instant failure. Further giving false confidence that using the various kits will in turn give them a level field of interactions. It also betrays the core rule of any game by generating contempt towards the idea of playing WITH other players rather than AGAINST. How many debates turn into heated arguments the second the word "fun" drops from a person's lips. Usually being followed up with unsportsmanlike conduct because the egging devil's advocate finds unintentional entertainment in pushing people away from something they've deemed theirs. These are unfortunate side effects of any form of cooperative entertainment, however it's unnecessarily fuled by modern games purposely designing them to inefficiently moderate such behaviors. That aside I would care to return to my former point of addressing "boring" balance. Boring typically suggests a failure of a game to provide variables to the interactions between players. One argument being that if both players use the same pieces then only one path to victory can occur. This is where I use the comparison to chess as my example. Though chess has existed for centuries it remains today unchanged as well as beloved by many across nations and generations. To this day there is a market for competition as well as casual experiences. Never has chess needed a patch or new release for additional pieces that make previous pieces irrelevant. Yet modern entertainment wishes to inundate the market with throw away games along with their parts in an awful attempt to spur additional purchases for the sake of only profit. It prioritizes in exploiting human's weakness for unnecessary change in spite of necessity. To innovate is one thing. Tearing down a whole system to the point of discarding its very foundation is another.

My daughter wanted to see the boogeyman. I dislike horror... the one before was Suzume and I enjoyed every moment of it.

I admit that this last episode was great. It encapsulated the best parts of what was good about this season while showing more depth in the discussion between war and peace. Though I feel certain interactions between characters were implied rather than shown. Einar's 180 showing greater maturity and restraint was sort of night and day compared to last episode. All in all I can't say that it was not without a fair number of flaws. I mean Keital's farm after the battle and losing so many workers probably would damage his reputation beyond repair. Not really sure why things seemed to transition as smoothly as they did? Either way I look forward to season 3.

Few lines I came up with on the fly. Babbling nonsense. I'll try to find one of my erotica short stories to run through it. https://i.ibb.co/0yxcV7n/Screenshot-20230610-121310.png

i noticed I ended up mostly playing 2d games on my switch. A lot of them are metroidvanias or simply just retro styled games. I liked Alwa's Awakening, Celeste, Cathedral, The Messenger, Bloodstained series, Astalon: Tears of the Earth, and Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider. Not sure if these are to anyone's liking but I hope maybe these could be some fun games to try.

I at a JPLT level 3 but speak and listen at a JPLT lvl 4. Doesn't help that even though I'm part Japanese, I don't know any other Japanese other than my nan. If you're 100% serious about learning Japanese, don't hesitate to reply to this or follow the Discord on my Profile Page. I'll try to check this a little more often but can't promise anything.

So bad news, me! It turns out the author is unfortunately hostile towards any genuine criticism about his overuse of said 'sex jokes.' I got a chance to read a chapter in the Fire Force manga in which Atsushi Ohkubo addresses in a passive aggressive manner his distain for any person who even remotely brings up Tamaki being constantly sexually abused by both protagonist and antagonist alike. The issue isn't because of generalized fan service, but how the character is treated overall by the story especially when it conflicts with the tone of a specific scene. Tamaki is a main character and she has potential to be as great as other members of the Fire Force team like with Maki Oze! The problem stems from the overuse of her being stripped and beaten down badly in a battle while the other hero characters stand idle saying commentary about how "Lucky" she is for having this happen to her. The dynamic is different from Blair from Soul Eater because in that series Blair is shown to be in control of her situation. She is actively seeking the sexual advances as well as not being integrated with any serious story moments. Tamaki as far as we're shown doesn't appear to ever be in control of a fight and it certainly creates a poor optic for the protagonists to appear like they're trying to cop a feel on a vulnerable woman in her time of need. Atsushi Ohkubo is a great author and deserves respect when he chooses to tell powerful narratives. I don't fully dislike his general sense of humor either. However he has sadly shown a rather tumultuous and glaring flaw in how he takes criticism and his choice of words could have been better. It's understandable that as a writer he takes great pride in his work and more than likely there's been unfair or unreasonable remarks made regarding his crass jokes. I will take umbrage with how he seems to refer to real-life people as being "unique body types that don't deserve to be heard because they didn't earn the right to be accepted" by him or something to that effect. Like dude! Seriously chill my guy. For a man all about humor he certainly has little patience for humoring others' points of view, jeez.
