Higuruma & Sunflowers @verucassault I used to only wear eye makeup but unfortunately skin ages. As you get older you might find yourself doing all over makeup. I don't like applying as much as she does. I followed one of her all over foundation and contour tutorials once and felt like my skin couldn't breathe lol. But everyone's skin is different. She suffered from systemic acne when she was a teenager and she has a lot of scarring. That's the reason she went into makeup. She learned a way to get flawless skin even though she has scars.

Higuruma & Sunflowers @verucassault Sometimes I even just wear tinted moisturizer to get by in the hotter months. But I do go all out on special occasions. I have a rolling case for makeup. I have several different eyeshadow pallets. I'm not huge into lipstick, I think glosses and balms work just fine. But eye makeup I get creative.

I am @amarantha Way back highschool/college I always watch makeup vids in youtube. Also had many cosmetics, but then I stopped experimenting when my dermatologist asked me to since I have acne-prone skin. So since then Ive always been using eyebrow gel, eyeliner, lip and cheek tint, and concealer only instead of using cosmetics like for the full face makeup. But when there are events, makeup artists would always go for smokey eye on me it is because I have small eyes IRL like close to monolid, so my eyes would look bigger. Hahaha. I also remember I did free makeup for my friends when they had events. Also became a makeup artist for one pageant event. My client won first runner up. Hkhkhk

I am @amarantha Hahaha! Same feels. I always ask whenever they feel uncomfy or what. But now I dont think I can still do it. My hands somewhat shaky and I dont have enough makeup anymore. Id personally go for a professional makeup artist instead. Tho prices now for hair and makeup are like up up there compared before. But oh well it is what it is now hahahuehue :’)

Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying @Ruca-senpai Yeah, the thing is I wanna be a cosmetologist and do nail stuff too... but I don’t wear fake nails (as you’ve seen in photos they grow naturally longer) and I’ve never worn makeup ever in my life. But I’m not going into makeup just for myself so it’s cool XD. Although what kind of colors do you prefer for your eyes? I feel like if people want they can rock whatever color you want, but of course you take into account skin tone, eye color, hair color so things don’t clash or they blow out other gorgeous features you may have. @baby chimken Do you like shades like Smokey eye on yourself? I remember that one time I recommended maybe a natural nude or peachy color I think XD

Higuruma & Sunflowers @verucassault You actually bring up something intuitive. When I first started dabbling in makeup, they sold you on color swatches based on your skin tone. And while that is important to match tones and hues for foundation, contour, and highlights, that rule flies out the window for eye makeup. I'm still amazed at how those rules were in the 90s lol. To make eyes pop, it's best to do complimentary colors. Since I have blue eyes, oranges, coppers, and browns make my eyes pop, make the blues brighter. Just like in her video, she starts with an orangey brown color and builds onto her lid with black. So that's my goto look. And I do love smokey eyes. But I have done lots of other colors as well. Greens, blues, pinks and wine colors. I love playing with reds as well. I don't do the over the top colors any more because I feel like it's a youth thing and I've aged out of it. But I can still work in subtle pops of color here and there with my stuff.

I am @amarantha I like smokey eye makeup. But whenever I watch makeup vids I like how other artists also like experiment or play w different colors. Would personally like to try em, but rn I only have one palette and it is just more on peachy colors hahaha ^^

Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying @Ruca-senpai I am sure your eyes look gorgeous with your complimentary colors, but I’m sure it’s super fun when you decide to just go crazy with it and do something opposite to those colors (and I’m sure you still look amazing with those too). A pop of color is always nice, it’s like how someone make like dark clothing but have an accent color that just pops to bring some life to the neutrality of the outfit
