I've never had gumbo but it's always sounded good. I've had jambalaya once though, also only had fried okra

Had it with gumbo. It's delicious (paired with the right thing *to me at least*), but a slimy vegetable XD.

Christmas Mommy ® @wei_ying You should try making it sometime, it's worth it. It's a meal that takes a bit longer to make, but again, it's worth it. Our gumbo didn't have seafood in it, but we used horseshoe sausage and vegetables, and it was already so tasty, so I can't imagine what seafood and sausage gumbo tastes like (if you like any sort of seafood that is). But, I'm sure there's recipes for different ingredients like chicken, fish or beef rather than shrimp or crab/lobster (the two things usually in the recipe originally).

Give me a few months. @joemama711 I'll think about it, chicken gumbo sounds nice I just prepped food for the week though.
