Since I haven't seen a thread covering it (or maybe I glossed over it), I decided to make a post about work. Just in general anything about it.
I guess since I'm starting off, I'll begin with a vent about my current job, which is essentially a job working with counting money. Burnout or other, I haven't really been too motivated to go back to work, especially after recent changes. I've been trying to give myself a different career path from what I do currently at the moment and have been looking into maybe entering the I.T field. Anyone have any tips about that?

My tip is that I wouldn't recommend it. It's an oversaturated field. It's hard. They mainly only pay contract work. I suppose it's somewhat fulfilling problem solving. If you want to build something I would recommend learning some kind of construction to actually make money. If you are dead set on IT I would be pushy trying to fix things at work until you get something you can put on a resume.

I've been told Medical Coding is supposed to pay well.
I'd do more research in the field before hand, but I have a friend that's pursued it as a career. Maybe that could work?

I'll look into it. I've been considering maybe doing some kind of facility work if it doesn't work out. Or HVAC. Not too sure, since I want to end up in a field that doesn't end up destroying me years out.

@hakurei98 you can look into electrician, the union for inside wiremen is called IBEW and if you live up north the starting pay is great. You probably wouldn't wanna be linemen though, those guys go up high and work on street poles n stuff.

I was actually thinking of moving back up north (Minnesota or Wisconsin). Electrician or HVAC is what I thought of looking into if the whole IT thing didn't work out for me.

Unless you got a guy you know with the hook up for HVAC or get luck enough to be a gopher no idea how the job market is over there or if your current skillset would be good for them.
If ya pass the aptitude test and interview for union ya get in.
Also can look up professor Messor on YouTube for IT related learning/studying.

I switched my Job to HVAC from Infantryman when I was in the Army. HVAC simple as fuck. Atleast what they taught us. They said I didn't have to come to class anymore cause I kept aceing all the tests. Though I don't remember none of it as a civilian. The civilian sector of it probably has way more to learn. Out of everything I learned in my life HVAC came the easiest. No idea how the job market is though.
