I had brought home a bag of Sonic ice the week before and used it in them and I was apparently "going to town" on that ice last night.

I like the theory that they were in cahoots together. All the tomes Tom shared his food or was nice to Jerry... it was an agreement so Tom didn't get kicked out and Jerry could go on living as well.
