Mr.Grinch @joemama711 Its become a pattern honestly, I was about to quit school, they said I can think about it over the weekend and try night class. It's 2 weeks longer and less people.

Gabriel @gabriel_true I trust you're going to pass. It was difficult for myself sharing a class with 13 other drivers, but we all got through it. Are you driving manual or automatic? My company uses exclusively automatic tractors for both over the road and yard.

Mr.Grinch @joemama711 I hope so, a big group is a huge disadvantage, trying to pre trip and point to parts when buncha people are there. there were 10 people with 4 trucks being used and 2 automatics sitting. Driving manual and not a fan honestly, I HIGHLY prefer automatic. 2 automatics here most,companies use automatic nowadays from what I read.

Gabriel @gabriel_true Well if you can survive driving there then you can survive driving anywhere. My brother learned to shift a manual using a bathroom plunger and a roll of toilet paper.

Gabriel @gabriel_true That's not a joke by the way. Apparently the driving instructor handed him a plunger and a roll of toilet paper to practice at home when he didn't have a truck available.

Mr.Grinch @joemama711 Pfft haha that's a hilarious backstory to learn how to drive a manual. I haven't gotten to up shifting or down shifting, I just know it's a pain to time letting off the clutch and the brakes so you don't ACCIDENTALLY use a pull up. My main issue is trying to figure out how to align the truck for a proper set up, I'm always crooked

Gabriel @gabriel_true Don't feel bad. I watch 5 year veterans forget how to straightback all the time. One lady got so frustrated she dropped the trailer in the middle of the yard and asked if I would put it on the door for her.
