Snake from Vinland Saga. Dude's a prick! All hype, then nothing. Kills a guy then says he ain't got a reason, but the reason itself. Proceeds to puss out of an actual war. Fuck this guy!

Amir @amir_bahram I don't know if he did anything wrong in the manga. I don't read manga (don't spoil). But I don't think he did anything wrong in the anime

Gabriel @gabriel_true I disagree. Snake killed Arnheid's husband when he attempted to flee with her. His men who were killed were mercenaries by trade, so they weren't saints. One could argue Snake had wisdom to believe Gardar was too far gone to restart his life and more than likely would have killed himself as well as Arnheid upon learning the truth of his firstborn's death. I still won't give Snake that much credit. He also framed the two children for thievery when it was shown that they themselves planted the evidence to force the kids to confess guilt and become enslaved thereby continuing Keital's need to employ Snake for protection.

Gabriel @gabriel_true That same episode there is a flashback with Snake and his men placing the stolen merchandise into their home. It's possibly implied that the children's father hand been killed by them on his way into town too since he was a free man who now had to be paid for his labor.

Gabriel @gabriel_true The slave trade benefited Snake and his company as overseers of the farm. Free men disrupt that system which is what I interpreted from what was said and done by Snake.

Chocopyro @chocopyro Yeah, as a non-muslim myself, I tried explaining this to my mom, but she insisted on some far right conspiracy theory about muslim terrorist camps on US soil because she knew she would loose the conversation if she even thought about it. The mind of a bigot is a scary thing.

Well guys. I have this place to thank for everything. As of yesterday, I am now a happy husband. Two years ago, almost to the day. I met my wife here. It certainly has been a journey. Certainly has been a lot of fun too. All I can say is that my life hasn't been any better.
