I agree with you Sam. Don't get me wrong, I like MaiOtaku...but, I have actually been able to chat and meet with more women on OkCupid since they actually live in my area. Though I do enjoy these engaging forums and the people here too. Just a distance issue is all.

Show of paws, who's in this neck of the suburbian woods? I moved to Trenton, NJ about a year ago from North Cackilakky on military assignment. I feel quite cozy nestled between the ocean, the trees, and all the city's sparkling twilight. Even though it's a little further north than I'm used to. I've already had the pleasure of finding a few friends from New Jersey on MaiOtaku :) I <3 the east!

I'm tired of hearing No girls play Yugioh and it for spazzy nerds and geeks, when people can't even comprehend.. the skill it takes to play yugioh. Any female duelist Ou thier? if so, Explain How you feel about Yugioh, If any Males, explain a righteous time you had playing the wonderful game...

I've had a similar problem since I moved a few months ago. I get busy with my job, but I don't want to surround myself with acquaintances from the military...kinda been part of that whole military brat lifestyle my whole life. Anyway, I volunteered and met a friend (we'll call him Greg) who was outgoing and understanding to my situation of being the new guy in town. See, Greg was in the same situation, just getting settled down at a nearby church where he got a job as assistant pastor. Weeks passed and Greg introduced me to his friends from seminary school, and now I got peeps! I'm hoping to volunteer at some cons or just hang out and meet some fellow anime lovers in the nearby future. If all else fails, I am glad to have found this forum as a connection to other otakus as sort of an outlet for my anime geekiness.

I totally need to get on that. I want to pay homage to my recent favorite anime FMA:Brotherhood and go to my first con this year as Lt Col Hughes.

Hell yeah man, ever since I started saving money for cons and just go out to have fun. I been enjoying life so much more. When your single never hold back you got to go out there and do stuff. The girls eventually will notice and want to tag along. Let's face it they like go out more than we do. ^_^
