Love vs Hate?

The opposite of love is hate?<br> The feelings from a lower state?<br> And yet both are forms of caring<br> Hate may do if love is sparing<br> <br> Even bad attentions’ craved<br> If for kids no love is saved<br> Surely deep as man can fall<br> Is simply not to care at all<br> <br> Give me passion of any kind<br> Before switching off your mind<br> Surely the cruelest that I can<br> Is, “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn.”<br>
