Here's one no one talks about. I recalled a while ago I got into an argument about Chatel slavery and someone told me it was WORSE because children are born into slavery. Back then I wasn't prepared for a rebuttal, but I got curious and looked into the OTHER form of slavery still common today.... Turns out the kind of slavery we had before Chatel slavery called for culling the entire male population and enslaving women and children in human sex trafficking. Entire cultures and ethnicities of people were effectively deleted throughout history because of this process. The man that weren't killed were castrated and trained to become low-level soldiers or slave labor. I'm at the entirety of North Africa disappeared because of a certain group population going in and taking things by the sword. I also understand why people argue for not ordering evil. Because if you claim one thing to be more evil than another, you are setting yourself up to be more cozy with lesser evil. Slavery outright is a horrible thing and is one of the greatest evils mankind has wrought on the world
