I think the thing that can be taken from this is that rather then just saying jumpscares are bad bruh, huh, huh.
It's a tool like any other and if over used it gets pretty old and boring fast. It also doesn't help that its a lot easier to achieve a jump scare, then it is to build an atmosphere that creates tension and suspense. Which is probably why you see that stuff everywhere, because its easy to make.

Alright. Again I'm really interested in doing this so, may I recommend you play collage first. Or maybe even Lonely Yuri, then give good ideas on short stories told well.
