Kids on the Slope is amazing! If you like jazz it's a must watch :) it's done by the same guy who did Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo (both of those shows have great music as well).

I second the RP forum idea. Either for forum RPs, or for organizing play by post tabletop RPGs like D&D or OVA. (The latter of which I'd been wanting to play with some people, but most of my gaming buddies don't have quite a strong enough interest in anime to actually want to roleplay in anime settings.)
Indeed, it may be a bit of a distraction, but it is a good pass time.
A quoting system would also be nice, because sometimes I'll see a post from say page 3 out of 8 on a given forum that nobody addresses, and I want to respond to, but can't.
And I really like Izumi's idea too.

Yeah, I figured as much. Back when I was using Unreal, Unreal Script was actually a thing, but at the time the editor also had a lot of issues in terms of stability; Bugs that were reported but never fixed until years later. I really hated it. Atleast with C++ people will actually have a lot more power to play with. Adding yet another scripting language would just complicate things and take a lot more time to understand how to use Unreal, because they would have to understand yet another language, but one that's only used in Unreal itself. Good to see they got rid of it, kind of pointless IMO.
As a programmer in C++, I honestly find scripting in engines pointless unless they're for either modding or entity functionality; such as properties or basic functions. This is why I like Source the most of the 3, I get the entire C++ solution. But either way I wish it was supported on GCC and Eclipse but it's Visual Studio sadly.
Now since Unreal has the C++ code I may attempt to use it in the future, but right now I simply don't have the hardware capable of doing so.
