What level of income would you desire in your life? To the point that you feel like all your needs are met and you have no further desire for money?

Working like, 0.002% over minimum damn wage in construction now, just got the job Tuesday, but hey, it's better than nothin. Ts what I get for volunteering, but I still got hired in the end so.. now I would like a bit more than that considering my gas mileage is nonexistent but I shouldn't complain

@forgetmenot have you looked into or considered joining a union for a trade? You might be making more then current and you'd be headed toward making a lot more if you pass the schooling and get the hours.

For me, I think 80,000 a year or 38.45 a hour is good for a single person assuming their isnt a mortgage

Last time I asked chat GPT if my income is at fair market value, Chat GPT said it needed to be blunt with me and told me my paycheck isn't even in the same ballpark of what it should be. I'm probably going to have to decide at some point if I want to be in a relaxing job that is not high stakes or get a much better paying job that isn't all fun and games.

grew up lower middle class straddling poor, so im happy so long as i dont have to worry about money. my short term goal is to have 10k usd in the bank, and im roughly two - three pay checks away. i started working waaaaaay too late in life, so i gotta make up for the lack of input to social security (if ill even live long enough to qualify by the time im old, and if the shit is still even around)

I'd say 100K a year. Would allow a good balance of saving and building for retirement. I do ok now on what I make since the cost of living here isn't astronomical, but I mucked around a bit too much in my 20s and 30s and didn't do as much as I should have and wasted money on crap I frankly could have lived without.
