@wei_ying I myself as a spiritualist that doesn't follow organized religion find it interesting to see a religious Christian perspective on things. Personally I feel that humans, like the earth itself are very cyclical. We had a long period of peace after WW2. It's been a while since we've seen a great evil sweep across the land. In each of these phases religious people believe the end times is nigh, but at the end of the day a period of peace will follow. I would only caution Christians about being complacent in just "putting it all in Jesus's hands" and actively try to promote peace efforts. Our generation right now is going to have to keep having a rough time. We are all going to be hardened by life if we aren't already. Once Israeli troops set foot on the Gaza strip it's going to kick off a domino effect in the middle east. This could easily spiral out of control but it's up to NATO and even our rival China to keep things in check and contained in the Middle East.

@arc Well we find ourselves in the same kind of situation as WW1. A complex system of alliances that threatens to involve everyone. This has been the case with the Crusades, Napoleonic Wars, Crimean War, Thirty Years War, Spanish-Aztec War and dozens of other conflicts that have happened over the centuries. Even I as a Christian do not think this is the end of the world with the current situation in Israel. This is literally the same thing that has happened many times since the formation of modern Israel. It also happened to be something that happened many times over the millennia. I have heard the idea floated about by a scholar from many years past that the Christian end of the world is something that God left in our hands. As in when mankind finally crosses the threshhold of irredeemable by their own choice, only then will the seventh seal be broken. The seventh seal being the seal on the scroll that is held by Jesus that unleashes cataclymic events upon mankind to usher in the end of days. Each seal contains a different event, culminating in the final seal which will destroy the entire Earth's population. So by the logic of the scholar. We have the ability to prevent or at the very least postpone the events of Revelation. Ultimately, it is not my decision to make, but if I have the ability to stop it, then I am damn well going to.

@arc so with the end times thing, i think the common misconception is that when people say we are in the last days that it literally means we are gonna all perish next year or something. No its a gradual progression, i think this includes the satanic panic event as people seem to think they know when the end is, but they don't. Infact its a gradual thing, it has progressed, first with more demonic stuff then the gay marriages then the gay and trans acceptance, then the children. Now we arrive here at the war with israel, who sre no longer just fighting hamas but now hezbollah as well. Now there could be a possibility this isnt the war the bible prophesied. But the nations in which the bible mentions while they dont have the same names anymore those are the nations which will attack israel. "In Ezekiel 38, God foretold that in the latter days, there would be a major military attack against the tiny State of Israel in the homeland once Israel would be restored. And God indicated that military attack would be comprised of the armies of six nations as they were known back in Ezekiel’s day. Five of those nations are named by God in Ezekiel 38:5,6." "In verse 5 the first nation was Persia. Now, that’s what it was known as in Ezekiel’s day, but modern-day Persia is the nation of Iran." "The second nation named in verse 5 is Ethiopia. Now that again is what that nation was known as in Ezekiel’s day, but I must point out that the nation known as Ethiopia back in Ezekiel’s day is not the same nation that we know as Ethiopia today. The nation known as Ethiopia in Ezekiel’s day is the nation that we know today as the Sudan." "The third nation named in verse 5 is Libya. Libya is located due west of Egypt in North Africa." "The fourth nation named in verse 6 was Gomer. In Ezekiel’s day, Gomer was a tribal group of people who were located in the central part of what you and I know today as the nation of Turkey." Now idk how well you have been following the israel thing but turkey has already come out against israel. Its a matter of time before the war escalates. It is in my belief these are the end times, all that would be left is gog magog war which is said to be russia and china. From what the preacher i listen to says, USA is not present in the bible. So take that as you may.

@dyadka_yar now i feel like this is the end, unlike years in the past where communication, alliances, economic situations, military might were different. We have advanced to an age where i see this being THE war. The world stage has kinda been set, and in the bible it does speak of nuclear attacks. While it doesnt outright say that, revelation 9:15-18 according to biblical scholars relates to nuclear war. I tried reading it myself and it seems kinda like depicting something but idk thats just what i have heard anyway. Again if i can find a better example i will, but atm thats all i got for that. Im just thinking this is the end times and the sentiment grows more and more as things happen.

@Panda-kun™ @hell_hound7 Thank you for the fair warning. I understand what you meant. I'm also weary of his words. I only agreed with that one point of view that he had. When speaking about God one must always go straight to the Bible if it doesn't align with it then something is off and should not be taken into account.

@arc I don't think I can't not lean on Jesus, especially in this hour. But I am glad you mentioned cycles, you are very right about that ^^. I actually just taught a lesson not too long ago about cycles vs seasons, we are going back in time. And I know it would be useless hoping or asking for peace, especially-if I may as I'm a Christian?-I see things from a Biblical perspective and these wars and violence is foretold to happen (it's for me like praying against God). I do know as people we have a choice on our actions, so I do understand if peace were to try and be attained (which I know is unrealistic lol) it would also be up to how humans act towards each other. But alas, humans hate too much XD. I mainly would like to thank you for being open to watching that video <3

@hell_hound7 Gog and Magog has an interesting history around it dating all the way back to Alexander and the unclean nations his army fought again. They have also been interpreted during Napoleon's invasion of Russia. The snake and the dragon. A story that repeats itself time and time again in history. Man, I hope this time Jesus just shows up and sorts shit out. I just hope it happens after my vacation in Japan. Just please let me have my vacation before the rapture starts.
