Coffee Secrets/ What's the technique?

She's using terms to describe the flavors of the bean the same way wine connossiuers describe wine - notes of chocolate, cherry, oak, raspberry, etc. When we were drinking Nespresso coffee regularly, all the sleeves/cups we would buy would come with their descriptions and some really did have floral notes, especially if they were a tropical island bean like Kona (Hawaii) and others played up on the mildness, or suggestions of desserts like the creme Brule flavor she mentioned. If the company thought it tasted better with milk or cream, it would say it on the packaging as well. Espresso is different than coffee. Coffee can be enjoyed, sure, but espresso is more like a treat, especially when you start delving into those luxury beans that have all those flavor profiles. I'm a latte and cappuchino person myself. Only had 1 black coffee I liked and it's a pricey cup.

Plus espresso just looks better. I love how it looks both creamy and frothy as it drips through. We really gotta splurge this year on a machine. We have been putting it off for several years now. Brevelle has been making some decent at home machines of late. Just need to get through to the next big appliance sale and go for it. Hopefully something will happen before Memorial Day. 8/

For real, for real, this new coffee machine is legit. Think the company snuck liquid cocaine into the mix cause I'm feeling it! Funny I just had to watch a driving safety video about being fatigued and that coffee wasn't the solution. But have they had this stuff? I could drive from here to California in a single trip I'm that friggin wired right now!!! AAAAAHHHHHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! https://youtu.be/8lD5bfqzr6E?si=yoLz6xolQtiD3Nek

The coffee maker is probably standard for the household. I just found out that it is better to have coffee imported than to buy it at the supermarket. And price doesn't always matter either.

Had an awkward encounter at a store where they offered espresso. I was used to espresso coffee where they actually fill the cup. Instead what I got was a literal squirt of espresso into the bottom of a regular sized cup. When the barista handed me the mostly empty cup that I could clearly see the bottom of I felt he was pulling a fast one. When the manager came over she at first acted like I was scamming them, but I hadn't left the store counter yet. Finally I was informed that what I had actually paid $3 for wasn't the cup of coffee it was just the espresso shot! Apparently people actually pay $3 for a sample sip? Ultimately I requested an exchange for a large cup of coffee that cost the exact same price as the one drip of espresso. Lesson learned!

Yeah, I made that same exact mistake before. I think the only reason it's even on the menu is when people order one of those in addition to a small coffee or americano. When I worked at starbucks we would always get clarification that it was what the customer actually wanted if that's all they ordered. It's a simple mistake people make. Be careful when you ask for a cortado as well. It's the same thing but just some steamed milk added to the shot. No it's not some fancy-ass Spanish latte. I also made that mistake...

Does anyone find hazelnut to have a pleasant aroma but feel bloated when drinking it like me?
gabriel_true
May be the coffee itself unless you're allergic specifically to hazel. If you use the flavored creamer and have the same problem then that might be the issue.
