Have to say that was a LOT of very sad comments in this thread. I really like reading comments on websites like these because you can see how beautiful or disgusting a persons soul really is. There is still a chance of them typing complete lies to try to impress someone but there is a chance for that in any situation. Anyway, that was a good read. A lot of heart went into most of the comments. On being in love. I am divorced so not the best on the subject, but number one rule - Find someone you can feel a deep connection with while spooning and without having to go straight to sex every time for that feeling of a deep connection. "Giggity" Sorry about the "Giggity", I had to.

@Riolis It mostly has to do with shaming on both genders. In the US it's an unspoken rule that I've guys ask girls out first, it's creepy. And if the girls ask the guys out first they're sl*ts. This and other issues make it extremely unpleasant which is why when I ask girls out, I do it on my own terms and usually outside the usual scenes.

Wow Mango, I had no idea you had that many admirers! They must have heard your wonderful singing ability~ Back when I was ignorant of the world I told many girls that I loved them. I didn't truly understand what love was, and how damaging of a word it was. Yes, love is dangerous. By uttering those words it hurts more than it helps. I don't say "I love" anymore because I fear the the power behind the word and the consequences it brings.

@Pingguo Truly a loli response! Loli hime sama's conquest and battle for love and justice and all that is righteous shines brighter than that of the incandescent sun! Has she not the resolve of a thousand lions and the mind of the wise wolf? A true star guardian rabu rabu short skirt transforming mahou loli shoujo? One who welcomes the never ending challenge of life to denounce what her birthrights have lead her to believe about the world!

It's easy to fall in love with the idea of being in love and then to apply those feeling to a specific person you want to be in love with without truly knowing that person or only knowing certain aspects. When I was about 10yrs old I was in love with a character in a book and the artists rendition of that girl on the cover (Z for Zachariah): http://www.findelahistoria.com/web/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Z-for-Zachariah1.jpg I even slept cuddling the book, lol.

I agree with you, love is much, much, MUCH more complex than what most people seem to think it is. I reckon a lot of people mistake like for love an awful lot. To me love between two different people takes a lot of time, effort and patience to truly cultivate into a real mutual love that actually means something. It takes trust, faith and teamwork from both people to keep the fires burning bright. Whether people actually like someone or if they did fall in love after a short amount of time, it's still a matter of blowing their load way too early - creating an incredibly awkward scenario that not only leaves the confessor's feelings unrequited but could also end the friendship they had prior to the confession (I've seen it happen a lot) and that's a really sad and depressing situation for both people to be in. This kind of thing is why I almost never confess my love for someone first whenever I'm in a relationship unless I feel we've been through enough together where I feel she should hear those three words; otherwise I just wait for my partner to confess herself which is often the case. So yeah, I guess my point is that people should confess their love for someone if they really, genuinely harbor those feelings towards them rather than saying it out of the blue, willy-nilly after spending very little time together.
