I admit I am curious to see what Disney does to Star Wars. This movie is a torch passing flick I think. But I hear they are doing separate movies as in-between stories. Rogue Squadron tales would be cool, supposedly they are doing the story of how the rebels stole the plans for the Death Star the first time between ep. 3-4. I predict many Bothans will die....
Far as I'm concerned that horse has long since been milked and beaten to death by gorge, and now it's Disney's turn to feed on it's rooting flesh and pick away any meat left on the old bones of star wars. That said I think the upcoming film will be decent enough. J.J. has proven himself perfectly capable of turning startreck into starwars with those rebooted movies so he should fair fine with resurrecting starwars itself. I just can't get excited about it is all.
Star Wars person myself. I use to play Jedi Outcast rather religiously for many many years. In Jedi Academy I got to play against the developers through a contest of other players. An age of gaming where things were different. xD
Ironically, a lot of people misunderstand that Disney has anything to do with Star Wars. While Disney owns the franchise now, everything is being done by LFL (Lucasfilm Ltd.) still. Disney is only acting as an anchor for the franchise to continue on.
Just thought I'd touch the topic.
