No worries. I mostly don't want them to bully you or anything. I hate it when big companies push people around. Especially collecting personal info. I hope you're able to resolve it without too much stress. I wish there were more I could do.

As of current I am still working things out with Patreon. They made me jump through a bunch of hoops and I have no clue what they're doing. It's incredibly weird in my opinion for a company to auto ban people for making verified purchases.
Like I understand wanting to protect people from having credit cards misused for fraud, but it's not Patreon's responsibility to make those assumptions. It would be one thing if made multiple purchases in a day that were high dollar, but I only attempted to subscribe once and this nonsense occurred.
I am sorry I got locked into this dispute with them as I understand your financial struggles. As soon as I can clear this up I'll try again.

I am ending up paying for my mother's oxygen concentrator on my own because my mother is refusing to pay it and I can't get the company to drop the charges. Her insurance is covering most of it but still has a $169 for the equipment rental fee or some shit.
I of course *cannot* tell her this or she'll freak out. It's $27 that will put me in another deficit. It is stressful living with a person who is filled with such hatred and is unable to control their emotional outbursts.

My brother said he had no issues at the time of sign up, but that was a while ago so things might have changed. I can't see anything on my end, so I'm not sure how to help. I can ask a few others. I'm sorry this has been a pain in the arse. Patreon usually doesn't give me any trouble. :(

I mean I hear people talk about Patreon all the time, does anyone else ever have that problem where they get instantly banned for using the site one time? Cause that's what happened to me and their customer service refuses to elaborate further about why that decision was made.
My only guess was that I was using a VPN on my computer. The only possible "suspicious" behavior it could have been.
I noticed some companies are going hostile towards VPN users like my water company. Every time I go to pay them they force me to turn it off temporarily which is annoying.

I can ask my brother, who uses a VPN and pays me through Patreon if he's had any issues. If you're in a specific region, you might be automatically flagged as sus, places like Iran, Pakistan, and India are usually high on the list.

Gabriel @gabriel_true Thanks. My VPN is set in New York, so it should have been fine. Still it may be a billing issue because of my credit card.

Gabriel @gabriel_true So far as of today they have not responded to my other emails. I checked my credit card and no attempt was made to charge me, so it appears they cancelled my request. I will see if they respond tomorrow and if not I suppose we'll have to come up with some other way for me to support your business if this Patreon website continues to be uncooperative. I apologize to trouble you when the goal was to assist you.

This was the email I received upon attempting to make a payment to you through Patreon. I'm waiting to see if there is any way I can speak to a customer service person, but no luck so far.
Gabriel @gabriel_true As an update I did just receive an email back from their customer service team. They wanted more information from me about who I was. Not sure if it was because I used a VPN on my computer or something.

Hey, Yuu. I had a question that I hope you can answer for me. I attempted to join your Patreon. Just to be clear, I have never once used Patreon before so I don't know all the rules or how it works as a platform. That said I saw the option to make a custom pledge. I clicked on that and proceeded to put in an amount. Upon doing so my access to Patreon was suspended and I have no idea if it even charged me the money or not. I am not sure what is going on. I did send an email back to Patreon about what happened however I currently have not heard back from them. All I know is it said my account and access was blocked.
If you have any advice as to what I can do I would greatly appreciate it.
