Get help, soon. I doubt if you're serious when you say " If I died today would anyone really miss me...", but you do need help to get thru this whatever funk you're in. It sucks, it hurts, it's lonely, but it doesn't have to be. Try finding a good therapist and talk to your GP about looking into antidepressants. I've been/am there and it hurts, but you're never as alone as you think you are.
SnakeePoo @solid_snake95 I would never hurt myself on purpose. I can't go to a proper doctor until I finish this school. If I leave the campus for anything including medical reasons they will kick me out of the program for being not fit for duty.
I was just thinking that, because they are telling us that we might be sailing in hostile waters soon in this industry and that merchant marine casualties are always the highest. It got me thinking about who would cry if I died.
yaasshat @yaasshat Ah, more understandable. However, I'm 100% sure most of your family would and I'd say that counts for something. Also, if you are truly having depression issues, I'd say that it's better to just bite the bullet and at least seek out a therapist. I understand you don't want to mess up your career, but depression can be even worse than that. I have a feeling that your main problem is just that you think to much and that causes anxiety/depression. If you have no control over something, don't worry about it so much ( easier said than dike). I think you'll be just fine and like I said, now that you clarified, I can sort of see where your worry is stemming from. If you need to vent, vent away, just remember there are no experts here, only opinions.

SnakeePoo @solid_snake95 Yeah I agree Yaasshat. I will be fine until I finish this program. I rather not have two thousand dollars go down the drain. I can afford a therapist easily after I work a couple of voyages. Thank you for talking to me about this though.
