I tried changing my oil on Sunday with my piece of shit 20 year old original jack and the bottom wasn't stable. Apparently you can just buy oil and a filter and take it to a place and pay for the labor of putting it in worked well enough for me and 50 bucks.

I suppose that's less ideal than my current situation of trying to change a flat, having the jack slip, then having the jack just decide "You know what? Fuck this! Imma break, biiiitch!!!". So, currently waiting on a tow truck just to lift the car so I can put a damn spare on for the low price of $95 and the eventual replacement of said tire. Good thing it's only freezing rain and snow, because I'd hate to be dry and warm on a sunny day... Meh... Still ain't concrete in the eye.

Of course there are hot shot drivers that can make more than this, however it's the equivalent of that one guy you work with that tells you stories about when they were a bar tender and made $2k a night in tips.
You find out later they were tipping themselves out of the cash register, haha.
But in seriousness, most hot shot jobs are very risky especially if you mess up and crash a trailer with a dealership's load of luxury sports cars.
