Hi my name is Marvin, i am 21 years old and hispanic i am a college student who enjoys reading mangas and watching anime. I love Jrock and pop and Krock and Pop. I love art as well i love going to art museums and bowling as well. In short im a dork/nerd. I would like to meet someone who shares similar interest and is nice and honest and will to share stuff they love and able to hear mine and being to have a great time, and if a meaningful relation were to arise i would not mind going for it and taking it seriously ^__^ Some anime i like are Xxxholic, tsubasa resevoir chronicles, FLCL, Darker than black, Bleach, Naruto, One piece, Usagi drop, Sword art Online, Sankarea and much more. the few games i am into are Minecraft, final fantasy games, League of legends, Guild wars 2, left 4 dead 2, fire emblem, legend of Zelda, Gunz the duel, Team fortress 2, Magicka, and Dead island.

The main issue with religion are the concepts of morality, sin and creationism. I'll tackle the subject of morality: The problems that a moral code causes basically stems from the nearly infinite number of exceptions that can be applied. For instance, Catholicism usually excommunicates members who divorce, the Catholic Church believes that marriage is a lifetime commitment. The only issue is their stance on domestic violence. Under most of the literature of the Bible women are subordinate to men they are married to, so except in cases where a woman is badly beaten by her husband the official stance of the Pope and cardinals is that a divorce or annulment cannot be granted. Then, original sin is used to bring the feeling of guilt upon members of the church, and to therefore tie said person to a lifetime of sin and begging for forgiveness from a god whose power is supposedly limitless. Finally, creationism, my biggest issue. The whole idea of Adam and Eve's creation, with woman being born from man, and man itself being created in the image of the said god, is preposterous. Why do people seriously feel the need to give such a story to explain where they came from? As a kid I didn't even think of this stuff, there was no need. The need to know one's source is a man made idea,it isn't innate at all. As an atheist, I do not feel the need to answer such questions, I will worry about it when I'm dead.

Kind of figured this out a while ago. Gohan mentions that his mom makes Dim Sum, a Cantonese food consisting of small bite sized varieties of dumplings, steamed stuffed buns and other steamed foods Shenron, or Shen Long is a Chinese style dragon and the dragonballs resemble dragon pearls in Chinese folklore Table manners in the series are more Chinese style in some cases, in Japan you would not shovel rice into your mouth with the bowl close to the mouth itself. You all are welcomed to correct or dispute this if I got anything wrong, especially anyone here who knows about Chinese culture more than I do.

Yes Grave of the Fireflies is very sad but powerful at the same time. Also, the anime that Studio Ghibli creates gives a strong impression to the viewer and makes them realize things in a different light. I guess that could be a reason that the movies have such a wide range of viewers. I still need to watch Karigurashi no Arrietty at some point.
