As a historian, my favorite subject in Modern History is World War II. Most young people associate the war with the Holocaust and the famous battles, but I've been reading articles and watching videos that offer multiple perspectives. I saw a video on Crash Course World History about how the war was about resources for both the Germans and the Japanese. The War affected life for most people in the world in some way. So I got to thinking that I could create a thread where people could post interesting facts or perspectives of the war. I shall begin with a fact regarding one of my favorite vacation spots, Costa Rica. The urban legend of how Costa Rica was involved in the war involves a German submarine that was planning to launch attack a Costa Rican ship. Due to a fly affecting the radar, Costa Rica was spared from losing causalities. My guide told my group this, but quickly added "it never happened, but it remains a popular myth".

He's from the anime Aquarion Evol. I've posted a picture of him. I didn't earlier because I wasn't certain how too. Of course I enjoy it when many people want pictures and get a kick out of my cosplay but I would hope that at least maybe 5 people might recognize it haha. Trust me I know exactly what that's like. That was pretty much my first year cosplaying (At Dragon Con as The Doctor). The only person who ever asked for a picture was a woman who dressed her baby up as the same Doctor as me, which was kind of cool. I've had to do that a few times at AWA dressed as Fai from Tsubasa lol. Funny thing was that it wasn't all that complicated and it was at an anime con but it was a slightly older anime so I guess it's not too surprising. As you can see from the picture though it's not very complicated at all....or exactly that unique. Yes, I've met Sherflow in person. I was also at AmeChibi and may have seen Tylor...And another user told me he was at AmeChibi, but we didn't actually meet to my knowledge.
