@MannyEffinRed honestly I never bring it up unless I already know they're into it or geeky enough to not get judgy.
@DarkuSchneider I've noticed that generational thing too genX seems way more condescending about anime fandom than genY or millennials

Hello everyone. Who here is going to/ wants to attend a Convention LARP. For those of you who may not know, LARP stands for Live Action Role Play. For OtaLARP specifically, you pick an anime character to play as for the weekend, while at Katsucon, it just can't be from fan fiction or porn. This year at OtaLARP, I shall be attending as Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Would anyone else care to talk? Tell any LARP stories or ask questions?

I'm a mess at every con and I've been going to them for like 10 years so I won't give you advice haha. But I suggest looking on YouTube for how to survive conventions or tips etc. There's plenty of stuff there.

So after spending a year as a reservist... i feel quite ashamed to say my room has fallen way past regulation standards of cleanliness... I was doing good for abit- and then i got lazy... M.Cpl would be on my ass if he seen this crap. i'm ashamed.

I did not for a long time but my work hours are very taxing sometimes (50hr week is slow) and I stayed in too much. Like the old saying goes: All work and no play..... So now I go out at least once a week to get out and stay social.
