Your First....Anime, of course!

my first anime was speed racer when i was like 8 i had no real idea what was going on and only watched a couple episodes but other than that i think it was either sailor moon or pokemon that i actually watched with a fandom glee

Dang... i would have to say pokemon i think i first saw that when i was like 5 and i think that may have been the first one...

typical Pokemon/DBZ stuff, followed by Zoids (still a greatly underrated) series, but Evangelion and GITS:SAC are what really got me hooked.

When I was not yet 1, my mom brought home Unico because it was a cartoon and she didn't like Disney bc it was too violent. My love of anime started there. And followed with Galaxy Express 999, Dominion Tank Police, Demon City Shinjuku, stuff like that

lol animefrombirth we are in completely different boats lol my mom did not like me watching most anime when i was young. other than pokemon and yugioh. although she did not know what "anime" was. it was just most anime that played on tv when i was young was DBZ, Ruroni Kenshi, and other anime like that

now this ones a tough one to answer cause i did watch a very tiny bit of Digimon years and years ago, totally turned off anime (no offence meant) cause of that, but about a year back i checked out Elfen Lied (i know i know, gore oooo nooos), and aside from the excessive violence it was kind of a sad love story, with a hopeful ending, sooooo Elfen Lied ftw ^_^

Sailor Moon, Pokemon and Yugioh had to be the first animes I ever watched when I was young. But then again I really didn't know what anime was back then.
