If she shaves that's great, if she trims also good. Personally if they shave or trim shouldn't you do the same in return? Shave every 2-3 days, recommend using lotion after in case of irritation caused by the razor.

Clean trimmed or shaved is fine. In the summer especially I shave neck to knees to stay cooler. It is more hygienic too as hair traps odors and bacteria like a sponge.

I usually trim my down to a quarter inch every couple months or so - y'know, adds that extra visual length... Wait, we're talking about other peoples? Oh, then yeah. Anywhere from clean shaven to nice 'n trim always appeals to me. Not taking care of it like you do the rest of your hair just feels lazy to me.
