Can you get in a relationship without pickup lines or witty banter?

Don't know anything about dating or relationships so i'll just say pick someone who gives back the same energy you put in.

I don't talk much my gf is the chatterbox and funny one. I told her I'm quiet though before we started dating. When we together I talk and we get along fine joke and have fun. But, on the phone it's mostly her talking. But, she loves me and I love her. My personality is fried trying to spiritually awaken and fight narcissism and schizophrenia. I'm glad she understands. She's the sweetest thing ever. She never makes me feel bad about my 2 brain cells that make me quiet and just loves me for me. Never meet a woman of such caliber.

Aleph brings up a lot of good points about the dating environment. I'm assuming it's more or less the same as it was 10 years ago when I was using dating apps. Here is my perspective from somebody who was extremely shy. Apart from being tall, there are two things that will drive your success with women on apps: -confidence -wit You have to be confident and bold with everything you say. Don't be afraid to be wierd as long as you know the boundaries on what creepy would be. My strat? Mix a cocktail. Get tipsy. Open the app and fire off lots of wild introductory messages. It really doesn't matter what you say, just make sure it is FUN and ENGAGING. It doesn't have to be rocket science. I had a multi-day chat with a random hot girl because my first message to her was "based on your pictures, you look like somebody who hates unicorns." I started getting a 30% response rate, which is huge. If they were boring and didn't engage with banter I would move on. Small talk is a waste of my time, and it's a waste of most girl's time. Just open up that app, and just start firing off messages. See what works for you.

I personally just be myself once I establish that the person I'm talking to is able to reciprocate casual banter. Maybe sprinkle a bit of personality here and there then eventually lean into deeper and more personal conversations from there and being consistent can single handedly make or break a connection from both perspectives, being the initiator and on the receiving end. I'm not always looking for anything romantic or intimate with someone and even making friends is incredibly difficult these days. The final key, is knowing when to pull back and walk away from someone. If they can't reciprocate and be consistent then I don't want to waste anymore time or expend any further effort towards the relationship beyond that point. I don't owe people unrelenting patience when they don't deserve it and I value myself enough to not devalue myself further in chasing people. There is not one trick or technique to make people like you more, and trying to do so invalidates your core self and makes you seem less genuine. I prefer to be real, honest, and true to myself. I'm comfortable being alone and have no desire to change myself for others. When you do find someone, it's natural to change and accommodate room for each other as things develop, especially when the interaction comes from a space of comfort and habit.

I don't know shit about getting woman attention I been winging it all this time lol. I just be myself I never try to force it and be calculated. I'm just lucky I look good. So I skip most of the games. I don't know what the fuck they want I'm just me if you like me cool. Game ain't never been broke so never had to fix it. I mean I have a inkling of what they want and move accordingly but I never think about it deeply so I have no game to give. Cause I never really know what I'm doing. I just listen to the thought when it say this will work. I don't question it or analyze what I'm doing. I just do it.
