I wholeheartedly disagree Elfen Lied was a bad anime. Not only did it have one of the best anime intros of all time. It opened up a whole sub-genre of shock value anime that wasn't afraid to show deaths of children. So many other things have been inspired by that anime, even Stranger Things, according to the creator. The characters in the anime themselves are inspired by the women depicted in classical paintings, which I thought was cool. Deep-seeded hatred, bully revenge, a powerful as hell woman, all things I like in an anime. It may not have been the perfect anime but damn we got a lot of good stuff that was inspired from it.
