@criselington no it’s none of those things it just did it a few hours after I got out. Looked in the mirror my skin was fine and I was with my sister when I was in my towel and she didn’t mention my skin looking weird
criselington
Well it still sounds like black mold and you need to have your landlord do something if unchecked and not treated black mold can cause organ damage and respiratory problems as well as skin damage
wei_ying
@criselingtion well a lot of our family members can’t breathe properly because of the house so I know that’s true and maybe that’s why one time I felt like I couldn’t breathe... wait nvm I think it was allergies?
gdmh39
No you def need to have the landlord check it else its gonna be problematic for your fam and for the landlord also
criselington
It doesn't sound like allergies especially if it's the whole family. It's worse when it's humid or damp right? Then it's definitely black mold and you need your landlady to get it taken care of properly
wei_ying
@criselington Yeah... makes me wish we could go back to Florida to breathe right UwU. I guess it wouldn’t help since it’s been hot lately?
criselington
Humidity and damp air makes the effects of black mold worse. Y'all definitely need it removed. It sounds a lot like when the bathroom was built and designed they definitely didn't seal and do the water treatment correctly. It definitely needs removed
criselington
The longer you wait and let the black mold spread then the more likely that solution I gave you won't work.
wei_ying
@criselington you definitely are right about that one, my parents are mad since the bathroom has no proper ventilation and they didn’t seal the tile and stuff right. Which is how I think a lot of the mold seeped into the tiles
criselington
That's what caused the black mold, it sounded like there's no ventilation and I guarantee there was no water treatment done to the inner walls before the tile was placed. The lack of ventilation and built up moisture is a breeding ground for it. If you don't already after showers or baths leave the bathroom door open to help the moisture leave the room. Preferably if you have a window in the bathroom or near the bathroom have a fan facing outside and place it in the window this won't get rid of it but it will help with breathing and it not spreading as fast.
