The answer is my partner is indeed pregnant. It's only been recently confirmed by the doctor, but yes we are expecting.
I figured any helpful insight into the matter would be useful. Thank you in advance!

A neat trick my mum came up with that made me into an avid reader. Bedtime was 8:30pm every night unless I took a book with me. Then I could stay up till 9.
She tricked me. And I love books.

That is actually quite clever Acacia. I may just use that trick.

Worry more about the current pregnancy.
How far along is she? Are you prepared to be the sole provider for a while? What's her maternity leave and your paternity leave look like? Is she on a good multivitamin? Keep a check on her blood pressure, keep a check on sugar levels(Her Doc should do those things, but you want to be aware.). Know that she may get some bouts of bad morning sickness, it may last almost the whole pregnancy or she may get lucky and not have much at all. She will get a little"moody" as time goes, lots of hormones. Just be there for her, for now.

My parents would get me books in different topics with lots of images and would incite me to dwell into them by myself to try to figure out what they were about.
That's how you get a kid to understand that there's something called Black Hole out there who can rip our existence permanently and there would be nothing we could do about it.
Astronomy, history, Nations legacies and flags (I still remember quite a few of them thanks to the flags book and that was when I was around 5-6, 22 years or 23 years ago) drawing books, fairytales and lots of biology enciclopedias
This kind of helped me to broaden my interests since I was very little, thus I have a shit ton of things I have a curiosity for, this allows the child to thirst for knowledge and that's almost never a bad thing
