Whats a friend?

For once Gramps is right! They gotta look after you even when you don't wanna look after yourself but you've gotta be able to feel comfortable with them too. Help them! You don't always need to have things in common as long as you can still chat n spend time together often!!! ヽ(*・ω・)ﾉ

idk but I know what a best friend is..... every time you fall they laugh and then help you up.... (this actually happened to me) and when you haven't seen them in forever they shower you with cheek kisses and picks you up and squeezes the life outta you

That's just someone who's there for you when you need them to be, that you're happy to help in return. A person you like being around and talking to that you can have good fun times and memories with. I didn't really get to have that until very recently when I moved to an area with some online friends. It's nice having someone you can relate to and just hang out with. Just makes life a little easier when people support each other, you know? Before this the closest thing I ever had to a friend (offline) was just someone who saw me as an ATM. Few months back I moved in with an online friend who helped me get a job in the area with the company he used to work with. As he put it, he really appreciated me being there for him during some hard times he was dealing with and wanted to return the favor. Another long time net friend drove like 3 hours just to hang out and drop some house warming gifts on me once I got into the area. Really makes me wish I could do more to make it up to them, their kindness is not something I'm likely to forget anytime soon. Couple weeks ago went down to Portland to hang out at a con, and another net friend I've known for like a decade wanted to meet, and we spent pretty much the whole con just hanging out.
