I wanted to die by the time I was eighteen. Guess what? Almost twenty years later I'm still alive, I got married and I have my first child(born two months ago). Man, if I gave up, like I so dearly wanted to, I wouldn't be able to see those things in life worth living for. But, before you can live for ANYONE you must first live for yourself. You have value, otherwise you wouldn't have even typed this out on a public forum. It's not attention seeking to cry out for help and accept it. We're all weak from time to time, but just know even if it's here, you'll find support. Life ain't over until it's over.

ohnoes has some words of wisdom there. A lot of us have been in that dark place, we understand how isolating and cold it can feel. How endless it can seem. The truth is though, your life is only beginning. Don't give up, that person you're looking for just might be out there. Though in the meantime it might help to preoccupy yourself to distract your mind, it doesn't hurt to study/save money while looking for that special someone!

And I can tell you that they really wanted to give up so many times. They are well past age 21 as well and still is dealing with all that misery but somehow still is able to look past the pain and see the bright future ahead. If they can keep on living and pushing forward despite all their hardships, so can you. Life is full of struggles and pain, but that is just natural to experience that. Life has more than pain and misery. You just have to reach out and seize your own happiness. You decide if you get to be happy or not, no one else.
