So tonight, Halloween night, I decided to try the ouiji board with Veru to see if anything would happen. We saw a ghost adventure episode that had one in it and I was curious but highly skeptical.
We took the board out and put it on the ground. She asked if there were any ghosts here. Nothing happened. I laughed and said the moving thing was too heavy. Very skeptical.
Then the piece started twitching. My fingers were barely on it and hers were too. She then asked another question and it moved and spelled out "STRS" I was just shocked the thing seemed to move on it's own. I remember it took at least some force to move the piece around, but it just felt like it was smoothly gliding. At this point I was kinda freaked out and told Veru "Let's just stop, Veru. I'm done." After I said that the token moved and spelled out "STOP". Then I started getting even more freaked out. The token then moved again and spelled out "QUS" Veru interpreted it as saying, "Question?". I didn't want to ask a question, but Veru thought we should go on. She asked if it liked cats, to which there was no response. I said something like "maybe it left". Then we heard a very audible thump coming from upstairs.
At this point I was like holy shit, now I just got my damn house haunted because I didn't believe in this.
Veru then did the closing remark thing that your supposed to do when you end your session, and the token, much to my relief, moved to the "Goodbye" text. This shit is real. Don't do it in your own house. And especially, if you do, make sure you close the session out and make sure it says goodbye.
Truth? Meh... There's actually a very real thing that happens subconsciously to many while playing a yes yes (oui ja) board that makes them move the planchet.
I find it a tad bit suspect that a child's toy made in the late 1800's and still marketed for children, would have any real spiritual properties. But on that note, I'd hope the hell outta there.XD My logic says "nah, it can't be", but my emotions say " fuck that". I'm a skeptic, but even so, it'd take some real effort to get me to play with the devils board.
I went into it just like Yass. I read the instructions and felt like it was just some BS gimmick. That's the only reason I lost my cool, because it was the exact opposite of what I expected to happen.
The "STRS" response was to the question, "Are there any spirits here with us?"
Like Veru said, it meant "STAIRS". Really unnerving.

I think I may try this tonight while im out and about visiting some "apparent" haunted locations. Such as the capital building.
