Dates are the WORST

The way OP's post is written is kind of obnoxious, but whatever. Not all girls are like that. Could be in this case it's not something they particularly felt like talking about, to which you could try changing the subject and see if you can find something you both might have interest in. Could alternatively be they misheard or misunderstood you. Asking "yes?" in response to theirs might get them to elaborate. Could also be they're just not interesting and they're being dismissive. In that case it simply can't be helped.

Dude we aren't all like that. Maybe they have their reasons for being like that. Unfortunately dates don't all go perfectly. Also have you ever thought she is thinking exactly the same as you are? No offence but maybe you are boring to her. Not saying you are but not everyone clicks.

@Cero.....from my experience......dates aren't bad.....I mean maybe you weren't being interesting cus I know if I was a girl I would not be interested in questions like that......try to make her laugh.....learn about her and most importantly be patient with her and your date will go smoothly guaranteed.....take it from me

Next time try something easy like what are your hobbies or tell me more about yourself. As men we have to keep the conversation going or keep the woman interested or she'll get bored easily, or in any case initiate the conversation. She may be shy also who knows. By her always answering yes, just curious was she always looking at her phone?

I agree will 90 % of the things said except the gender roles thing. She might be bored talking to you or yall don't click. That question probably wasn't a good one. It takes a few questions to figure out what people are into. Once you find that, you feed people their desire to talk about it or find common grounds. Don't shrug it, some people don't click well. Some people are shy so one word responses might be common for questions(find common ground to talk about). Also that was one part of the date, the whole picture of the would be necessary to give great advice.

Well the point of a date and dating in general is to see if people can stand each and to see if they can get along "very" well. Your date sounds like awkward silence and just plain boring. I always try to get rid of the awkwardness by doing some random crap and just saying things. Even if it doesn't interest her that much, at least try to be entertaining. That way she'll eventually do something to get the conversation going. That's what I do, but I don't go on many dates anyway. XD

As men we have to do this and that. Actually no you don't. Relationships firstly should be as equal as possible. A date isn't about a man having to keep a conversation going. A conversation is like a tennis game and a date should be a playing field where both genders are willing to try at least. Women are perfectly capable of starting and holding a conversation. It isn't a mans job to do this.

True it takes two to Tango, but with my experience it's always been me trying to initiate a conversation after all most of the time it's men who approach women instead of the other way around. Either that or I've been on too many dates with girls who don't have the same interest as me or didn't really talk much? also please please please when you're on a date..PUT.THE.PHONE.DOWN. I've been on a date for like 15 mins where the conversation was very interesting and I was telling this girl about where I was born,what I speak, etc but this girl just kept on looking at her phone and on Facebook checking her friend's status. I guess a guy from Holland that speaks fluent Italian wasn't interesting for her enough lmao. I told her I guess the phone is more important that this date and I left.
