What are you looking in a friend?

The title of friend and bond of friendship normally means that something got you there. What is that thing that usually end ups making you friends with someone?

someone with similar interests and mindset who wont try to use me or take advantage of me over like some have in the past.

I value loyalty in a friend. Someone who will stick around against the test of time. A person who is willing to listen and can get me to smile sometimes.

Friendship in itself is vague and can vary greatly in the strength and scope of it and the things that made the bond in the first place will vary with it. Loyalty, at least one common interest, and a common understanding are most central to me.

Every friendship means something different for me. I don't really choose my friends based on qualities, I just have a natural sense just from looking at people and interacting with them a bit just who I generally vibe well with. I can say my most trusted friendships were forged in the heat of battle during HVZ. You know someone's trustworthy when they hold the ground with you and don't crack under pressure when a horde of 10-50 people charges you, screaming "BRAAAIIINS!" And trust me, it takes balls of steel, and a lot of trust in the resolve of the people next to you not to bail and break the firing line in that case. So yeah. Nothing creates loyalty quite like surviving hairy situations like that. But for most of my friendships, either online, or random friends I make on anime conventions, its just about how well we click, relate to, and crossover with each other.

A friend to me means we hang out together a lot and if something ever happen to me they would actually take me in and care for me. Though I'm starting to feel as that doesn't exist at all :( Life is starting to feel worthless to me....

Has to be weird and childlike.. I don't get along with tight a** conformists. Im actually giving up the idea of having a true friend because it's seems impossible (for me) it's ok because I like being by myself but things would be so much more fun with someone to share. Thats life!

i tell you this dont trust your friend although you friend with him along time they will stab you're back when you are not looking.
