Torrent users persecuted ?

Kickass torrents got taken down and the owner is in jail I believe. So they might be warning in case they're targeted as well, best to use proxies

They might go after heavy torrent users like they did in the past, I haven't read all the legal issues. But I haven't heard them doing that in awhile. They can't go after all torrent users, that's like half the country. What are they going to do if you don't pay fines? Send you to jail? They don't have 1/10th the jail capacity even if they were all empty. They don't even have the jail space to lock up everyone who downloads cp, why it's usually only used in conjunction with related molestation charges or else they mostly go after people who produce it. Essentially it's pointless to enforce a law the majority of the population refuse to follow.

Yeah like loli_vampire said they'd probably just go after the top users at best. Even then they'd most likely pursue uploaders and not downloaders as much, as it's only logical to target the source.

Lmao this reminds of the fact that you can get up to 12-14 years at my place for downloading and storing pirate shit, but you get only 8 for murder. Then people wonder why I start laughing every time I see a picture of scales.
