Advice for a goof.

So there is this girl I have know for a long time. We both play the same small and obscure sport at a high level, so we have even traveled overseas together on teams and stuff. I guess I always kinda had a crush on her, but never really did anything about it. Well, she is still playing even though she's in her first year of college, but she just left for a three moth internship in Australia, and I leave for the Military Academy in a month and a half. I don't get much leave for the next four years while I am there. I don't think I realized it before, but the prospect of simply going my own way and never seeing her again really bothers me. Should I try and ask her to the fall formal at the Academy? Or would that just be weird? I think I really goofed this up.

-SIGHS- SORRY FOR ^ THIS PERSON ABOVE. I believe you should go with your gut feeling sometimes it right and sometimes it holds us back on something. But, ask yourself this.."Will you regret it if you let this chance pass by?" I think you should ask so you at least can say after five years in the future or to your kids if you ever want any how you was brave enough to ask this girl..it could be a good confidence booster for your son if he ever in the same position as you are. Who knows right? At least you try and trying is all that matters so I think you should say what's on your mind and let it out if she doesn't accept there will be hurt I won't say there won't be but, there will also be plenty of time to heal...afterwards as well.

Well, people can't be themselves on here..cause of people disrespecting them. There more and more less "committing" people on here if you haven't notice there are only a very few that take this site seriously and will respect your thread. So, next time you make a post like this it would be best to make it in the serious thread. Cause everyone knows if you try to change that person's thread or change the subject and make it bout themselves. They will be reported a thousands time or will get ban the admin of this site and many others will take that part of the thread sessions very seriously and you will most likely meet other users in that thread session that WILL consider your words and give you respectable answers. If that won't work then go to the admin personally and he will ban them or suspend their accounts. He actual dislike users that walk on others. I hope you talk to her. I hope you tell her.Really though good luck. <:)

I say go for it , look you can live with a moment of disappointment knowing the truth rather than a lifetime of wondering what could've been and doubt. You have nothing to lose only to gain .

Go for it man! Seek resolution you may regret it later. Don't let anything hold you back!

If you don't ask her it will be something that will always linger (would she) in your mind. And the chance to may never happen again. Make sure you tell her that you have always had a crush on her. It will bring more sincerity to you and your confession. Even if she says no, you will heal, grow, and gain confidence from it. Girls dig confidence and sincerity, especially when a guy is has both qualities. Right girls?

I think you should tell her you've always had a crush on her and if she feels the same then work something out, or just choose to not start anything. Four years is a long time to be gone and I don't think new relationships are able to survive through that hill. Overall, if I were her I would want someone to tell me they've had a crush on me, because if you keep it in then you're going to look back at it as one of those "what if.." things. So, when in doubt, be honest! And yes I think you should ask her to the formal, that sounds cute!! Best of luck, ☆Ichi

Sometimes it is better to regret something you have done than something you have not.
