Does it matter to you whether or not people are paying attention to you?

From people I don't know closely I tend to avoid being the center of attention and skirt on the outside of social interactions, only getting involved when it concerns me. Even my best friend, I can go a month without even calling because i forget. It's not that I don't enjoy positive attention when it comes my way though~ When it comes to family, I enjoy occasionally interacting with them. I start to feel sad during prolonged periods of being away from them. As for a significant other, for some reason I crave that kind of attention. I'm a one-person type of guy :P

From New York (not NYC), people seem to have pretty short attention spans here so generally it turns into a game of reinterpreting each other lol. People tend to talk without looking at each other a lot it seems so they usually get distracted by something causing you to repeat yourself. Doesn't really bother me.

For me, I don't care too much about gaining attention since I'm an introvert. If I get it, cool. If I dont, it's whatever lol. Think of a mellow cat that likes to be petted but won't beg for it, that's me.

Don't really care if I'm getting attention or not. I used to want some attention to cope with loneliness in the past but I grew out of it. Mostly the "friends" I have that say they are busy and shit like that which I know is clearly bullshit most of the time but it's whatever, really. People come and go. Don't care if people notice me. I hate being the center of attention. It's nice to have someone check in on me to see if I'm okay but the only time most check in is when their significant other is absent, when they are lonely, and when they are bored. Other than that, I don't exist until then.

^^^^ Yep. People never really noticed me or cared anyway. I'd rather have no friends at all if they are just going to talk about you behind your back, because they weren't really friends to begin with. I don't mind being alone and I think that puts most people off so they get tired of trying so hard.
