Started watching anime because of boredom... then the first anime I ever watched is One piece *_____* still watching it now atm

My Japanese friends got me into One Piece while I was unemployed now I'm a fan, then they keep suggesting anime for me to watch.

I really liked watching that ultra 90's violence from Fist of the North Star, Vampire Hunter D, ect. when I was a budding young teen.

Toonami. DBZ was airing and my impressionable child mind loved it. Eventually I caught sailor moon and more and more anime Toonami was putting up. Evetually I learned that there was more anime on the internet and got some suggestions from friends and others online. After that I just wanted to know more and more anime. I saw others with my friends and just listened to some more opinions from the internet.
