Why did start watching anime?

Toonami is when I started, I just didn't know it was anime at the time. First time I was aware I was watching anime was in 2011 on netflix. I had a torn ACL and couldn't walk for a while so i started watching some anime and eventually really got into it.

when i was younger i moved around a lot had no friends went to 9 different schools by the 4 grade toonami was my only friend lol. that was a long time ago but i still remember the first anime i watched it was DBZ ep 80 transformed at last (had to look up ep. lol )

I started watching Dragon Ball on days that I would skip school but never watched anything more. I started to get big into while I was serving on Okinawa. After two years there I became an addict and haven't looked back. Though a very large portion of family and friends don't understand it and I am now the outcast of most circles, I will never give up my love for anime.

Boredom.. I was switching through channels and then on one channel there was anime.. I believe it was "Loveless". After that I got more and more into it. First watched the well-known older ones such as Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and Inuyasha and then got into the less known ones. Don't regret a thing.

My uncle said it was educational to watch Dragon Ball, it'll improve my brain power. Now idk about brain power, i just know I'm a HUGE nerd. And then Sailor Moon, Pokemon and Cardcaptor hit me and i was like woah, watching late night anime was such a rush for me as a child. It was like trying to not get caught watching porn but better.

When I was like 4-5 years old there was a girl who was a couple years older than me and I basically went along with whatever she did because it was so cool to me haha and sure enough when she got into anime so did I. It all started with Sailor Moon, DBZ, and Inuyasha lol

Well the first anime ever watched was probably Ultraman, when I was a wee baby living in some Asian land. After that pokemon >.> as a kid. But what really got me into is kinda unusual. It was the original Yu Gi Oh series. Was bored one day (mid-teens) and just found it super hilarious. Now I got almost 200 TV series under my belt and shall continue watching for probably the rest of my life. :3
