What game are you currently playing?

@willworkforisekai Is that a game for Nintendo? You said not PC, so I presume it's on console for Switch? Is it on PlayStation as well and how much did the game cost?
willworkforisekai
@gabriel_true The game is officially only for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. But, I play it on my PC with the Ryujinx Nintendo Switch Emulator. I just download the game from a rom site for free. But, it seems to go for $40 to $70 on anyone of the consoles I mentioned. Nintendo might come and take my toes.

@Thanks for letting me know. It looks interesting, but what specifically about this game do you feel is the most engaging? It appears similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. Are there unique aspects that stand out from it?
willworkforisekai
@gabriel_true I never played final fantasy tactics. There's 70 different unlockable units in this game. Where most games stop on like 7 to 10 none customizable units minimum or 15 to 20 non customizable units max this game actually let you customize your unit sprite to your liking via clothes colors and hair color. There are alot of unique units skillfully designed and you can even customize there clothes and hair and even there inclinations. It's not just the cookie cutter basic units they been getting more cooler the more I play. There is a companionship gauge that you can fill with different people to unlock different conversations or romance. I think there's romance haven't got that far. But, any character has a companionship guage with any character. You can give them gifts. Most of all it doesn’t look like it was made in rpg maker. Nobody wanna spend a dollar on isekai games Atlus actually gave us something to work with. It's like a straight fantasy world none of that persona vibes. I was wondering when they would make something similar to a isekai instead of people who morph into stuff. I find getting new units and equipment most engaging so I can find the best team comps that combo and big dick the enemy. In the overworld you can run and teleport to places you been. It's a little fun game if you like fantasy worlds and wanna pretend it's a isekai everything there except the teleportion into another world. Still waiting for a cat girl to show up. You can visit taverns and chat up your companions I haven't did that yet. Apparently there's a colosseum but haven't been there so don't quote me on this. You can select preset names for the mercs you hire. You can convert the enemy you defeated to your side or jail them or kill them in some instances. I jailed one dude and he escaped he said he would be back lol. Stupid thieves. Overall is pretty fun. I'm 19 hours in only in the second continent out of 6. There is items to pick up in the overworld and secrets to uncover. You can deposit items to the towns you liberated to level them up. Or to fix something in the overworld. That's about all I can think of.

That does seem like quite a bit to manage. Making your own units sounds as if you were building a platoon instead of your atypical party of 4-5 characters. I presume the story is fairly open ended or was there a specific objective the characters you make supposed to achieve? Having a coliseum reminds me of my days playing RuneScape. Honestly this game you're describing sounds like RuneScape with multiple characters under your control rather than one.

@gabriel_true I don't know if there are consequences to my actions or if the story will change because of what I do. I just know some dude broke out and said he will be back. I liked that. hopefully he comes back to make life hard. The story is just to liberate the 6 continents from a tyrannical genjustu casting leader with the power of the Unicorn ring. The characters have story but mostly they just there to help you they pop in and out of the story depending on if they know someone. Saving a Mason let me build a bridge I guess that's a objective. The units are just there for world building and to counter certain units. I'm excited for colosseum. I hope it keeps getting harder forever. I don't know how high you can go with the number of units in a squad. I only have enough honor for 3 teams of 4. Also the customizable changes only apply when your characters in battle. You can't change the overworld and cutscene sprite that sucks but it's cool. I never played runescape. Only thing I know about that game is can I buy a gf meme.

Bout to hop on that Throne and Liberty early access wave. I hate trying to grow up in game while everyone already big and doing endgame. Maybe I'll try pvp ew. My mats I can hear them crying now.
