Tagging members

Just a thought, but how bout having a tagging feature where people can post something about whomever and if they put @[yourusername] then you get a notification that someone mentioned you in a post/page somewhere. Like Hey @Sephiroth, I think you need to hire me to help you manage this site since I know you're extremely busy and I'm sure you can use the help. or Hey @Sephiroth, I think the IM's are great on the site. or Hey @Sephiroth, *looks at shoes* WHAT ARE THOOOOOOOOSE?!?!? You get the picture.

Something like that would be pretty great. As is people might post something about you in one of the more active topics and you'd have no way of knowing about it. Unless you manually check every page of every topic you can easily miss stuff.

Or a form of quoting, so you at least know when someone has directly replied to you. Honestly, it's really a forum standard especially in this day and age.
