Ugh, I'm so damn boring when it comes to first date stuff. I'm a big proponent of getting a cup of coffee or meeting up somewhere where it's really easy to talk and get to know someone. Going for a walk is always nice too. The whole goal of a first date is to be social and get to know one another, so going to a movie or somewhere you can't easily talk is pretty counter productive to that and much better saved for later dates.

@mariahaise. We went to a movie (night at the museum), had some McDonald, then sat on a bench and talked for a while. That was a long time ago and I really haven't been on a date since.
