Girls Asking Out Guys?

This is an interesting question and I guess it will differ GREATLY from a cultural perspective. Having been born in South America, I have been exposed to women who are more aggressive towards getting what they want and that includes asking men out. I am no stranger to this and I can see it as its OK to go about it both ways. Guys ask girls or girls ask guys. From the point of view of lets say, not wanting to waste time, then sometimes its better to take a chance than to regret it forever. God knows I've been there Sonic but once you become the "friend" you'll fall into the friend zone and most likely for good. Then you'll always regret not having made your choice and always wondering... What if? I think in life you need to take chances, be brave, ultimately what is the worst that can happen? :)

I'm all for the idea. :P Due to all the horror stories and social justice bullshit that's been going on as of late, a lot of guys have become reluctant to approach women because they're terrified of being regarded as creeps, or even being accused of trying to molest/rape them. :/ Yeah, I'll admit that there's plenty of weirdos out there, but not every guy is waiting for a chance to roofie someone. ;/

First of all it depends on the two people. If it's between the two very socially awkward "otakus" like a lot of people on here that cannot take a hint or too fucking shy Then it is up to you, as the alpha in the relationship to take charge and JUST DO IT Don't let your dreams be dreams yesterday you said tomorrow SO JUST DO IT It doesn't matter what gender you are, the social stereotype of "male ask female" IS OUT THE WINDOW ITS 2015 WE HAVE DEMISEXUAL AND PANSEXUAL AND GENDERFLUID NOW WHAT DOES IT MATTER WHO ASKS WHO OUT! or your chance will just pass you by.

I personally disliked having girls asking me out in public. Not because it's a girl asking me out, but her doing so in public. I'm introverted and pretty shy. I feel very pressured, because I don't want to possibly reject/hurt them in public. And when pressured i'm like a stubborn donkey. I would be fine with her asking me to come with her and asking me out 1-on-1 instead of a room filled with people. I'm pretty much very accepting of a girl asking me out, if she shows tact.

To be honest, I dream of a fairytail romance. I'd like to be swept of my feet by some "princess charming" one day...but I'm a guy. So that means I have to do the pursuing of a mate or "fishing" as I like to call it. Although, with my horrible luck and lack of dating experience, 99.9% of the time, I don't even get a nibble. I know it's not manly to think like that but that's just how it is with me about 60% of the time. Instead of me doing doing the pursuing, would it really be too much to have a girl see me and go "Look at that guy over there. He's so Otaku. Imma get me some o' that!" I'm not asking for a harem. Hell. I'm not even asking for sex. (though if sex does happens, YAY) I just want a girlfriend and possibly onday a wife. I know I'm not the best looking fella in the world, I'm nowhere near slim, I'm weird as hell and just as awkward to boot but damn it. I believe I should be thrown a bone every now again. Just once...Just once... I'd give my left arm and right leg just to hear these words come out of a girls mouth towards me. "Hey. I was wondering if you'd wanna go out with me. I'd give my left eye for that. I have no problem rockin' an eyepatch. Whatever. A guy can dream. I'm keep searching for my special someone and I'm not giving up. I'll just keep playing my role.
