People view that as stalking, of course it would weird and creep people out.

"Live and let live" I just thought that be nice to everyone would be the best thing to do. People tend to make fun of others so easily but little do we know what that person is going through so hopefully we can be nice to everyone. It's hard but you should be able to I think. Never look down on people unless you're trying to bring them up. XD

Never use a persons irl name on any site! Or when talking to other people from the site. I know 3-5 people on here in real life. I know how scary it is when you are hiding from an irl monster, and someone used my real name.

I'm one of the few people that couldn't care less if anybody knows who I am. I have a link to my facebook on my profile here. I can see why girls are more careful and have more stalkers to deal with. But I never saw the point of hiding my identity. Seems like lots of people on here are worried about privacy. Since I want to get to know people to hang out with and possibly date irl, I would rather be honest about who I am so I know people are going to accept me for who I really am and not for some pseudo-fictional veneer or false assumptions. Some people are uncomfortable revealing themselves and I've had to adapt to that simply because it's contrary to my usual way of thinking.

"Break reality, and shatter despair! Show only strength, and give it your all! Nothing can slow you down, to conquer your fate, and destroy evil!" - Me Basically: Never let anything pull you down, because you have power, power to overcome anything, ask yourself for that power, because that power is yours, and yours only, you may share it with others, or use it to become stronger, however you use it, you will be able to overcome anything, so as you continue to desire it! Life will be hard, I never said this power was easy to obtain, but, if you keep on trying, you will succeed, and if that isn't enough, you may ask for help, because we are all here to help. I have been through that hell, far worse than anything, but I kept fighting, and gained immense power, able to crack and shatter anything in my path! It wasn't easy, but I made it, and now it is much easier to become stronger. Do not fear, because it is only when you give up that you have fallen, keep on trying, and never let others tell you otherwise, nor the world, nor the universe, nor the gods! Your life is yours to command, you do what you want with it, we are just simply here to help you, to make up your mind, and to guide you, for strength, or for reasons to strive. So, would you like a helping hand? WOW, that was a lot, I can't believe I typed that much... My otaku will just sort of took over.

Yeah, telling someone you researched them online is usually not well received and is very creepy unless invited; agree w/ Maverick. Get to know them directly so you have something else to talk about. It is a tricky dance because people have to be extra careful now days with e-life. When I was a kid you could see who the stranger was and somewhat size them up, now we all wear a mask made of electrons and light by default in this place. My best advice is don't put personal crap on the internet to be found in the first place. =) Many employers audit their current/future employees online lifestyle now. We fired one of our engineers because he called in sick or had crazy excuses for needing time off a lot; we get min week a quarter PTO. They went and looked at his Facebook (inspection required for the job) and he was a Raver it seems and needed to recoup after taking Ex all the time. Our HR lady is extra prudish about sexy pics she finds too. It is getting kind of fascist crazy out here now days.
