I'm in the 3d master race personally. Too me anime is anime, it is a hobby, it is a joy of my life I would be very different without. But I'm not an otaku, I'm not obsessed. There are only two things I'm truly addicted too, That's working out so I can get stronger, and to find a lover. I cannot even comprehend or fathom myself 'loving' an anime character. Because to me it, is only fantasy. Certainly that fantasy may be better then real life, If it were in the physical plane, But it isn't, So I can not get behind it. Probably took this way to seriously, But whatever.

If you have a crush with a crazy 2d guy/girl it is almost impossible for a person to fall in love with someone real that has the same characteristics as the unreal character. Imagine yourself being attracted to some yandere or really cute unreal girl/guy over some imperfect real girl/guy just because that character has those impossible mind and body charactistics no one can achieve or be born with. What makes the real world better than anime world is that every single anime story is inspired by and for everything this world has in it. That means that the person you are looking for not necessarily has to be born with blue hair and red eyes to meet your expectations. There are people in this world that are actually even more attractive and "perfect" than anime girls/guys just because they actually lived the hell this world is. Just because you or one as a person see oneself as someone without the power to make someone like that love you doesn't mean people that imperfectly perfect don't exist. What leads me to think that people over obsessed with 2d world are so lazy and sad they can't bring themselves to go out and explore the world as complex as it is. Not everyone in this world can see what's underneath and that makes every single one of us to blame. (I'm directing this to generally every human being I don't want anyone to feel particularly ofended is just my bad english) However, this is just my opinion :/

" That's backwards, things are improved upon when you base it on something else and built onto it. It's evolution 101. No, being lazy is accepting any 3dpd that crosses your path and taking whatever you can get. Even here on this very site you see guys with no sense of shame throwing themselves at any girl that pops in in desperate hope they'll be accepted. The same holes true for many women as well. 2D is undeniable perfection and that's all there is to it. Most characters are created to be the absolute ideal. Humans being flawed doesn't make them not flawed, flawed is flawed, perfect is perfect. 3D can never compete with 2D. It's one thing to accept people for being flawed, it's another to delude yourself into thinking they're better for it.
