Veru @verucassault Yes and no. Modern cars have tried to conserve gas milage by lightening the load/weight of vehicles. But back in the day, they used heavy metals for the body and exteriors vs now where they use a lot of aluminum or fiberglass on the exteriors. Plus it looks like the modern bugs are lower to the ground. I dunno. Just the thought of trying to run someone over in one is amusing.

Veru @verucassault And some of the smaller trims or pieces could be some kind plastic. My bumper cover on my car has no metal on it at all. The bumper itself is steel but not the cover.

Veru @verucassault That's why "Muscle Cars" are called that. They had to have beefy engines to haul around all that metal.
