before i say anything, do you like sword art online? and this is me being a bit obtuse, but you tend to often use uhhh, sexual relations of a non-consensual nature in our ethics discussions. SAO writers definitely have a rape fixation as well =p (joking a bit, i understand that rape is a potently charged ethical situation and is good to rely on for these obtuse scenarios and discussions! really just teasin' here) they write the MC into saving a damsel who is JUST about to be violated in every arc, is why i bring it up. let me genuinely respond to that in a new post, can't start the good discourse with my trash haha

aye, maybe i was too hasty in chastising you. i've been shut down a lot recently by really angry and stubborn people so my instinct just screams 'be overwhelming charitable and hospitable at all costs so angry ppl can't ever even tell me i'm being angry back'. i think i've lost a bit of my warrior's spirit, i guess. i apologize for projecting my weakness on to you! i also think im just a bit stoney and read his goodbye as "hey this was fun even tho it was frustrating lets do it again!" what is wrong with meeee

Lamby @momoichi its not totally a wrong look at it really. iv had the opposite reaction actually, people tend to duck debates with me after starting them. they then accuse me of being bad faith but can never show me how. ever. it is really bothersome and i feel gaslit by it, so i suppose im a bit touchy when people just duck out. (this has happened mostly on the vegan debates iv had.) just a sore nerve i suppose that iv become more and more annoyed by. i just wish that if i was arguing in such bad faith people could point to where and why so i can improve, but they never do, so all im left with is feeling like im being gaslit and theyr cowards. i suppose iv grown a 'me vs them; mentality that isnt always fair. (but i do think wesley is disingenuous xD i think my response was warranted with that discussion) basically people shouldnt pick fights they cant finish i guess. idk im ranting/venting x3

I can see how someone might be inclined to feel. that being said, i think telling someone that they're running away from an argument when they say they have to go due to shit they need to do is not inline with pragmatic utility by my opinion that that is less-than-kind etiquette! i understand how that plays into respectability politics, so like, i'm right there with you. but from a white boy perspective i think that somethings transcend the need for that rightful fury, i think is how i feel. obvi i fully support just tearing down centrists and right-thinking shitters. they need it a bit, haha. but i think even our dummy opposition is merited a fair goodbye. hence why i spoke for ya in thanking wesley-kun for his input and perspective!

Lamby @momoichi wesley started the discussion with me, was extremely uncharitable the entire time, used multiple uncouth debate tactics, and then when pressed he left. im an honest person and i think its wrong to say "yeah np!" when internally your bothered by something. he didnt leave and say hell come back to continue the discussion, he was ending the conversation without addressing any of my points, instead telling me to look at his. its extremely disingenuous and i have no patients for these kinds of people that posture that they want a real discussion but would actually rather talk at you, and when the going gets tough they run. i even ended my regard saying im sure hes a lovely person and hold no ill will to him personally, so i feel i was more than cordial in that respect. we will have to agree to disagree on this really
