I left the door open and a shadow beast made its way in. It scavenged and ravaged my mind for days on end until it became years. It made a cave inside this frame. I left the window open and saw that rain had doused all of my books. Every word was stacked upon pages of pages, yet every single page was soaked with acid rain which made holes in the crevices of my brain. Every word was distorted and corroded. All except this book, I kept it pristine in perfect condition the only one I held dear. I had it in a locked box next to my heart. I hurt myself covering it from all of the rain yet, it is finally decaying because I can’t keep allowing myself to die slowly while protecting it. I Killed The BEAST. I Shut The Door. I Closed The Window. The book disintegrated in the rain.
