Side-Eye Sylus @verucassault Yeah I heard they are testing it out at certain places. It started with the McDonald's lobby kiosks but now they are going right into just replacing cashiers. I wasn't looking forward to it, it's going to eliminate a lot of jobs but after the last 3 years of catching attitude from people in those positions, I don't feel too bad about it. But I do feel bad for the actually nice cashiers. I don't think places like Chik-Fil-A would ever replace people. My thoughts are some places will take to it better than others. Like, can't see it happening in rural places, but Atlanta? Haha bring it on.

Arc @arc In this aspect Japan is waaay ahead of us. They replaced many hostess/cashiers already

Side-Eye Sylus @verucassault Yeah, they will have to find better jobs, but my thoughts are it might limit their options. When I was a tweenie year old, sometimes those type of jobs were the only ones available to you. Then a step up from that was retail, working at malls or shopping centers. Less grease but sometimes the same amount of bullshit lol. Managers in those low paying jobs were always on power trips.

This Is So Us. @joemama711 Japan has like robot servers here and there and other stuff probably. Aside from the vegetable like fucking and the sucide nets ( or is that China? Idk tbh) they have amazing service like the perfect Chick fil a on steroids with healthier tastier food options. Ill be 30 this sunday and im at where i am in life due to my inactiviy to pick a better option for a career hell didnt even know what i wanted to do until i just buckled down and still bucklkng down. Those kinda jobs should only serve to help you temporary until you get something better in life but thats just my take. Idk anyone working at a waffle house making enough to afford a house and family. If I actually was serious about the navy when i was 18 and stuck with it id be successful.
