Whelp, for covid: I like others I know have found it a a somewhat annoying topic that we try to avoid, being hard to avoid being what makes it a bit annoying. Offline it can be hard to talk to anyone about anything without it getting mentioned, because a lot of people can't seem to find ways to keep themselves busy now that this and that has been shut down. That said, turned out the guy we were renting a room to apparently tested positive, but the source isn't 'that' reliable. If true, we sold the place and moved out at the perfect time. In day to day life nothing has really changed much for me, as I've been social distancing for years anyway. I also don't mind wearing masks because I'm not a big baby (like the people on my dads side of the family). I did however get laid off at work because of less hours going around, but it was something I was hoping for since this all started anyway. I just see it as a vacation to get cought up on a lot of videogames I've never had the time for before. As for the election: I've never been one for political stuff and try to avoid people who go hard into politics like the plague. The people on my dads side of the faimly all being hard core trump fans, when around them I just play along or don't say anything to keep the peace. I don't like who we're stuck with, but if nothing else I do think he's a perfect representation of the current state of the US. That being a country full of shameless narcissistic morons. I'm tempted to register to vote just to vote against him, but I doubt it would make a difference.
